Panel Analysis (Beta)

The QIAseq Targeted RNAscan Panel Analysis plugin provides tools for analyzing fusion gene expression data obtained using QIAseq Targeted RNAscan Panels or similar custom panels.

Dependencies: This plugin requires the QIAseq DNA V3 Panel Analysis plugin, version 1.0, to be installed.

QIAseq Targeted RNAscan Panels are designed for detecting presence of fusion gene expression in samples. The panel uses Unique Molcular Indices technology to obtain more accurate and unbiased expression quantification. It also includes built-in control assays and housekeeping gene (HKG) assays, supporting thorough sample quality control.

The plugin includes a ready-to-use workflow, Detect QIAseq RNAscan Fusions, that analyses reads from the panels and provides a table of detected fusions together with their evidence, including their HGVS IDs as well as their corresponding p-values and z-scores. The algorithm relies on two sources of evidence, reads that align across the fusion breakpoints, and paired-end reads where each end aligns with the two corresponding fusion partners. The results can be inspected further in the Biomedical Genomics Workbench, as well as analysed further using tools available in the workbench. Besides the list of fusions and corresponding read tracks, the ready-to-use workflow also generates several QC reports that can be used to verify the quality of the sequencing.
